Painting on Box Canvas and Ply all frames are made by the artist, from recycled wood
Paul was born in Dorset in 1962, and moved to Penzance, Cornwall in 1984, where he has enjoyed raising his family in Penzance.
In 2014, Paul took some time away from work in order to concentrate on his passion for art. He was inspired to take paint brush to hand and capture his visions based on his surroundings. Since 2017 he has been painting full time.
His work includes interpretations of seascapes, landscapes, townscapes, ancient stone formations and abstract florals. The work portrays his love and the vibrancy of his residence. Paul works with acrylic, pen and synthetic filler, on board, ply or canvas. He often builds up colour in many layers.
Paul’s inspirations and interests include distressing abstract and Impressionistic works. Inspired by West Cornwall.
Paul is listed in the CAI (Cornwall Artists Index),
and now has a fine art auction history via
David Lay FRICS. Auction House in Penzance
